Power Whitening

Patients looking for a less invasive, more affordable method to whitening their teeth than veneers or crowns can consult with our office on whitening teeth options. Our office provides in-office whitening and at-home whitening.

In-Office Whitening

Teeth can become discolored over time from factors such as age, diet, smoking, medications, trauma, and tooth decay. For patients wishing to lighten up their smiles, they can undergo our in-office whitening procedure. A whitening gel is smeared to the outside of the teeth. Once gel is applied, our office uses a laser light directed at the teeth to speed up the gel hardening process. Our in-office whitening service takes approximately one to two hours to complete. The patient will also leave with trays for at-home whitening.

At-home Whitening

For patients wishing to whiten their teeth in the comfort of their own homes, we offer an at-home whitening solution. Our at-home whitening solution involves making an impression of our patient's mouth. Using the impression, our office creates a custom tray to hold whitening gel. The tray slides over teeth perfectly, letting the gel work it's magic on the teeth. The tray is worn for a few minutes a day over a period of a couple weeks.

How long will whitening last?

Unlike crowns and veneers, these whitening solutions are not permanent. The whitening solutions work differently on each person. Patients that avoid coffee, red wine and smoking will traditionally see longer lasting results than patients who continue with same diet and smoking habits. However, most patients are pleased with the instant results these whitening solutions offer them, only periodically needing touch ups as the years pass by.
